Background
Last fall, the new EPA Environmental and Climate Justice Program received $2.8 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act to fund a variety of community-driven environmental and climate justice activities. The CCGP is EPA’s final and most comprehensive piece of this funding initiative.
The CCGP grants aim to support environmental and climate justice activities that benefit disadvantaged communities. Their goal is to empower and strengthen communities by providing resources, partnerships, and support to make positive, long-lasting changes around health, pollution, and environment. Focus areas for grants include reducing pollution, increasing community climate resilience, and building community capacity to respond to environmental and climate justice challenges.
This program is open now with a rolling application and review process through November 21, 2024! Nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply directly for CCGP funding.
