Planning Virtual Meetings and Conferences
Connecting people is a key element of how River Network and groups across our Network carry out our missions. And yet, COVID-19 has forced many of us to move our long-planned meetings and conferences to a virtual space. River Network and members of our network are on a steep learning curve to figure out how to plan and host digital events that are inclusive, engaging and impactful. On August 12, 2020 River Network staff shared our experience in planning and hosting Virtual River Rally 2020, a 3-week long virtual conference that attracted over 500 participants, and bring your own insights of what’s worked for you when hosting or participating in similar events.

This resource originated as part of River Network’s Roundtable Series, initially developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These online classrooms provide the network with opportunities to connect, learn from each of our experiences, and provide space for discussions related to topics that are top-of-mind for the network.
