State of the Network Survey
We’re excited to share the results of the inaugural State of the Network Survey! Thank you to the 148 organizations who responded to the survey, which asked about organizational capacity, achievements, challenges, and needs.*
These results help us all:
- Understand and tell the story of the collective reach and on-the-ground impact of our nationwide network of water, justice and river advocates.
- Track and share the demographic trends of staff, leadership-level staff, and boards of groups working on water issues and identify the biggest challenges groups face in addressing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI).
- Assess the most pressing needs of organizations working on water across a range of issues, organizational development, and climate change to determine how River Network can best tailor our support, including through our refreshed Strategic Plan for 2023-2026.
*The inaugural State of the Network Survey was sent to network members via email and posted through River Network’s website and social media channels during March and April River Network partnered with Inform Evaluation & Research, a consulting firm specializing in program evaluation and research to develop the survey questions and launch the State of the Network Survey. Inform Evaluation & Research analyzed the data in July 2022. The data was not analyzed to ascertain statistical significance but helps to build our understanding of network member successes, priorities, needs, and barriers and to shape the next five years of River Network’s programs and offerings.
